PDI have the largest and most efficient intercooler for the Landcruiser 100 / 105 Series. Our 80 series cores are the largest we can pack into the space, while getting assist from the main engine fan. These were designed for the high power diesels but are perfectly suited for the turbo 1FZ

With this core we have designed the end tanks to work around the air conditioning line on the drivers side.

Our kits for the 105 use our large core and therefore our replacement HDJ100 AC pipe from compressor to condenser is included. For more info on the pipe CLICK HERE.

Our intercoolers fit with almost every bull-bar and winch combination as the core is set back to get more draw through from the main engine fan. The fitting of thermo fans may be required for other brands where the intercooler is located too far forward and there is no draw through or ramming of air from the front since the bullbar and other items are in the way.

Intercooler pipes: 2.5” stainless steel with heavy duty silicon joiners. The connection to the intake manifold is sorted for these kits.

Due to the exhaust manifold and turbo selection for the 1FZ conversions not being standardised, we need to see some pictures of the turbo and airbox location so we can best advise on piping choices. High torque stainless steel clamps.

Air can be felt strongly pulling through the intercooler 50-80mm from the core, while idling on startup. To continue to have the air being pulled through while engine temps are low (and the fan hub normally free wheels) some extra fluid can be added to the viscous coupling.

EGT Gauges

If you plan to install an EGT probe, we recommend doing this into the dump pipe after the turbo. Recently we have decided to stock a budget EGT probe system that uses a Class A probe with 2m long lead and digital display making it easy to read and mount. We have another option in green that has a smaller thread for mounting into intake air temps if you wish to see how you system is performing. These can be purchased HERE

Brake Booster Upgrade

PDI have the only brake booster upgrade on the market for the base spec 105 series that have the non-ABS systems and the 4 bolt 80 series. The 105 factory booster is a small single diaphragm unit which is insufficient in when towing or when wheel size is increased. The PDI upgrade for the 105 is a dual diaphragm unit with larger than standard diameter giving an increase in the mechanical advantage able to be applied to the master cylinder by 50% and has transformed the vehicle for many 105 series owners. Upgraded Airbox

Typically we suggest this mod is cost-effective if you have a 12mm pump and are running higher flow injectors with more than 160kw at wheels. PDI have their own design airbox that is cast aluminium, uses a 200 series panel filter and has stainless steel latches to hold the lid down. They can be purchased HERE
