Landcruiser 75 Series HJ75 HZJ75 PDI Braided Brake Lines (ADR approved)
Landcruiser 75 Series HJ75 HZJ75 PDI Braided Brake Lines (ADR approved)
We have managed to locally source ADR approved braided brake lines. We ran our cruiser for many months with the standard lines, but given the increased line pressure we are much more comfortable with the lines upgraded.
The average life of brake lines is 8-10 years for normal use. On many cars they last much longer than that, but for an offroad vehicle that gets treated accordingly the lines are prone to damage due to:
- increase flexing and movement along rough roads.
- debris damage from rocks and sticks flying up.
- oil or grease on the lines will reduce their lifespan too.
If the pedal feels spongy then it is definitely time to change them.
Note: When ordering for the 75 series, they went to rear disk brakes in the last couple years of the 75, and most of them have only a rear drum thats used for main brake and hand brake. The rear disk setup still has a drum brake handbrake, which is normal for most toyotas.
