Compared to the factory intercooler, the PDI intercooler has:

83% increase in frontal surface area; and
volume increase 2.2 times bigger also due to thicker core.

Intercooler kit can be ordered with or without our specifically designed transmission cooler kit. It is a stacked plate unit with 29,000BTU heat dissipation and mounted with a single piece transmission cooler bracket. The transmission cooler can be run with or without the original transmission cooler in the circuit.

Kit includes:

intercooler core 700x310x76 (63mm outlets) mounting similar to factory.
3 stainless pipes (polished).
5 short heavy duty silicon joiners (straight).
Breeze (USA made) heavy duty liner clamps.

Whenever a sustained load is applied to these engines the factory intercooler is unable constantly dissipate the heat and therefore the factory ECU works to maintain safe combustion temperatures through fuel reduction. That means if you are pulling a load up a hill the power available drops.

With a PDI front mount upgrade, you will be able to maintain the power and torque available on a cool day, even when working hard. The kit and system is robust and also won’t let you down.
