The PDI front mount design provides direct airflow through the grille, ensuring the intercooler receives the coldest possible air. This results in significantly lower intake temperatures, improved combustion efficiency and more usable power.
With large 2.5” stainless steel intercooler piping and a high efficiency bar and plate core, this is a true high performance intercooler upgrade for Ford Ranger and Everest turbo diesel engines.

Additional Information

The latest update to the PDI intercoolers for the Ford Ranger makes easier fit with the updated PX3 facelift model through to the last of 3.2L (2022) model. The facelift model also saw a change to the radiator support panel, which allows us to fit the core further back without dropping the height and allow the addition of the transmission cooler kit

The first of the PDI Ford Ranger Front Mount Intercooler designs core is 700x300x76mm and has bigger and high flow cast alloy end tanks. These are still available.

If you have a PX1 Ranger with auto transmission, we think it should be possible to fit our updated intercooler and transmission cooler.

The centre (vertical) support is part of the radiator support panel and can not be purchased individually and welded into the original panel. The facelift used a new bonnet latch (attached with 2 bolts) and the centre support design sits slightly further back. After removing the lower bolt we found that the latch was still rock solid so to replicate the design of the PX2 we would cut the lower mount from both the latch and the centre support. The updated intercooler will then be able to sit under the latch and if the intercooler still hits we would consider adding thicker spacers behind the upper intercooler mount or adjusting the centre support in the area just under the latch.
