This is our large 45,000BTU stacked plate transmission cooler.
We use it with brackets, fittings, clamps, bolts and hoses to mount onto the PDI intercooler, as fitted to the HDJ100 and 105, VDJ79, VDJ200 or for the Nissan GU kits.
For those already running a PDI intercooler and planning an automatic conversion, this is the ideal add on. It’s also a great option if you’re after a premium core or need a replacement for a damaged unit. Includes 1.5m of transmission hose: 10mm (to suit Toyota and Nissan) or 1/2 inch (to suit Ford).

This is a 13 plate Stacked Plate 560mm x 215mm x 32mm 45,000BTU.
That means it’s bigger than almost everything else we can fit in a 4WD and does an amazing job at dissipating heat. If this won’t keep it cool, you have an issue with the transmission or your driving style. We found on an off-road racer, this significantly outperformed a bar and plate design with core dimensions 600x300x76mm – basically it got hot with the bar and plate cooler so this cooler was added, later the bar and plate unit developed a leak and was removed – from this point it never overheated again.
