Connection of the turbo is a 2” straight silicon into a 2” 180 stainless bend to drop down behind the airbox. The pipe expands to 2.5” after the 180 and joins onto the intercooler with another 2.5” straight silicon. On the cold side the intercooler is connected with a 2.5” straight joiner and then we have a custom 180deg elbow that expands to go onto the up facing factory inlet manifold adapter.
If you have a 2″ body lift, then typically this just requires the silicon onto the turbo and onto the intake manifold to be kept slightly longer.
Whenever a sustained load is applied to these engines the factory intercooler is unable to constantly dissipate the heat and therefore the factory ECU works to maintain safe combustion temperatures through fuel reduction. That means if you are pulling a load up a hill the power available drops.
With a PDI front mount upgrade, you will be able to maintain the power and torque available on a cool day when driving on a hot day – even when working hard. The kit and system is robust and also won’t let you down.
