Important Installation Insight

The cooler bracket was designed to be used in conjunction with the PDI front mounted intercooler kit on the VDJ79 with an auto conversion and fits in the 2.8L auto GDJ79 series. When run in this configuration please note that the you will need to cut some of the horizontal facia plate under the grille and headlights to allow room to fit in front of the PDI Intercooler. When run without the PDI front mount, the transmission cooler is attached to the back of the bracket to give more clearance so no grill modifications are required.

This kit requires the radar sensor to be relocated and the current range of bulbar cater for this so that the mounting of spotlights etc don’t affect its function. If in an auto converted 70 series, please contact us regarding what gearbox is in your conversion so we can suit the required fittings and hose size.

Some coolers place outlets at the bottom to simplify installation, but this can trap air and reduce effectiveness. PDI’s design helps prevent airlocks, ensuring your transmission cooler kit performs at its full potential from the start.
